Nate’s interests and hobbies include spending time with his wife and four kids, time outdoors on RV trips, and following sports. He stays connected to his local community through involvement in Minnetonka Rotary and the Wayzata school district.
As Tax Director at PrairieView, Nate collaborates with other PrairieView team members to provide tax compliance and planning to our clients. He works on all aspects of our clients’ tax needs and ensures that these needs are met proactively. Tax planning can require intricate analysis, and clients can rest assured knowing that Nate has extensive experience and expertise in handling a variety of tax situations.
A native of North Dakota, Nate earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy at the University of North Dakota. He went on to receive his Master of Business Administration there, and a Master of Science in Taxation with distinction at DePaul University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and maintains affiliations with the American Institute of CPAs, Minnesota Society of CPAs and North Dakota Society of CPAs. He participates in the Rotary International Club of Minnetonka, MN.
Nate has practiced public accounting for over 14 years, primarily with national firms servicing the middle market. He has provided tax compliance and consultation services to a variety of businesses and industries, as well as high net worth/private client services. His experience includes providing tax services for corporations, partnerships, and subchapter S corporations. He also has an extensive background in individual, estate, gift, and trust taxation. He considers mentoring and advising staff to be amongst his most valuable work experiences.
