He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics with a concentration in Finance from Northern Michigan University where he was also a standout athlete earning NCAA Division 1 Skiing All American Honors. He accepted a role with the private wealth management firm where he was instrumental in developing the investment research and portfolio management practices and later became the firm’s portfolio manager. Matt also earned his MBA from the University of Connecticut and spent time working for Prudential Retirement where he gained valuable experience with institutional retirement plans. He has earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations and is a member of the CFA Institute.
