Kristy Schaffer - CPA/PFS, CFP®
Kristy M. Schaffer is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner®, and Personal Financial Specialist. In addition, she holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Planning from the College of Financial Planning. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Redlands where she graduated summa cum laude with a dual degree in Business Administration and International Relations. She then completed her graduate accounting studies at Montana State University.
Kristy started her career in the public accounting arena with the firms PricewaterhouseCoopers and HLB Tautges Redpath. During this time, she provided in-depth tax and comprehensive financial planning services to senior executives and other high net-worth individuals. Next, Kristy spent five years as a Senior Planner and Tax Advisor with Carlson Capital Management. At Carlson, she integrated portfolio construction with investment management to flesh out her role as a comprehensive wealth advisor.
With her extensive experience and expertise in tax, stock options and alternative compensation planning, Kristy has become a specialist in servicing Senior Executives within large multinational companies such as 3M and St. Jude.
Kristy, her husband Shawn, and their son and daughter reside in Northfield, Minnesota.
